Digital education is an important tool for expanding access to quality learning in developing countries. Afghanistan’s education system faces persistent challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, a shortage of trained teachers, and cultural as well as security barriers. At the same time, digital platforms, educational applications, and virtual classrooms offer valuable opportunities to address these gaps. With more than 60% of its population under the age of 25, Afghanistan holds significant potential for growth if modern and inclusive education becomes more accessible. However, weak technological infrastructure, limited internet connectivity, and low levels of digital literacy remain major obstacles.
This study explores the current status, challenges, and opportunities of digital education in Afghanistan. It seeks to answer two key questions: (1) What is the level of acceptance of digital education in Afghanistan? and (2) What challenges and barriers hinder its expansion? The research also aims to propose practical strategies for enhancing the effectiveness and accessibility of digital learning in the country.

:چکیده
آموزش دیجیتال یکی از ابزارهای مهم برای گسترش دسترسی به آموزش با کیفیت در کشورهای در حال توسعه به شمار میرود. نظام آموزشی افغانستان با چالشهایی چون زیربنای ناکافی، کمبود معلمان آموزشدیده، و موانع فرهنگی و امنیتی روبهرو است. در عین حال، پلتفرمهای دیجیتال، برنامههای آموزشی و صنفهای مجازی فرصتهایی ارزشمند برای جبران این کمبودها فراهم میسازند. با توجه به اینکه بیش از ۶۰ درصد جمعیت افغانستان را جوانان زیر ۲۵ سال تشکیل میدهند، در صورت دسترسی به آموزش مدرن و فراگیر، ظرفیت قابل توجهی برای رشد و توسعه وجود دارد. با این حال، ضعف در زیربنای تخنیکی، دسترسی محدود به اینترنت و سطح پایین سواد دیجیتال از موانع اساسی به شمار میروند.
این پژوهش به بررسی وضعیت کنونی، چالشها و فرصتهای آموزش دیجیتال در افغانستان میپردازد و در پی پاسخ به دو پرسش کلیدی است: (۱) سطح پذیرش آموزش دیجیتال در افغانستان تا چه اندازه است؟ و (۲) چه چالشها و موانعی در برابر گسترش آن وجود دارد؟ همچنان، این تحقیق هدف دارد راهکارهای عملی برای بهبود مؤثریت و دسترسیپذیری آموزش دیجیتال در کشور پیشنهاد نماید.
