Effectively manage snow water and areas It is very important to know the area of snow cover and the trend of spatiotemporal changes in snow cover. Therefore, the present study has been conducted over the northern basin in Afghanistan and the purpose of the present study is to analyze and investigate the trend of snow cover changes in time and space in a period of 23 years 2000-2022. Therefore, the present study has been used to receive the trend of snow cover changes in the northern basin using remote sensing from MODIS satellite images with an accuracy of 500 x 500 meters in the Google Earth Engine system. The results of the Mann-Kendall test have been conducted seasonally and annually. In order to obtain the trend of snow cover changes، the Mann-Kendall statistical test has been used. As a result، during the study period، it has been found that the northern basin had the highest snow cover area in 2012 and the lowest snow cover area in 2010. In general، the trend of snow cover changes in this region shows an increasing trend. The results of the Mann-Kendall test show the trend of annual changes. P-value (0.77) trend of seasonal changes in spring P-value (-0.55) summer P-value (2.19) fall (autumn) P-value (-0.18) winter P-value (7.26)

چکیده؛
مدیریت موثر آب و مناطق برفی دانستن مساحت پوشش برف و روند تغییرات مکانی و زمانی پوشش برف بسیار مهم است. از این رو، پژوهش حاضر بر روی حوضه شمالی در افغانستان انجام شده است و هدف پژوهش حاضر، تحلیل و بررسی روند تغییرات پوشش برف در زمان و مکان در بازه زمانی 23 ساله 2000-2022 می باشد. بنابراین، پژوهش حاضر برای دریافت روند تغییرات پوشش برف در حوضه شمالی با استفاده از سنجش از دور از تصاویر ماهوارهای MODIS با دقت 500×500 متر در سامانه موتور گوگل ارث استفاده شده است. نتایج آزمون من کندال به صورت فصلی و سالانه انجام شده است. برای به دست آوردن روند تغییرات پوشش برف از آزمون آماری من کندال استفاده شده است. در نتیجه طی دوره مورد مطالعه مشخص شد که حوضه شمالی در سال 1391 بیشترین سطح پوشش برف و در سال 1389 کمترین سطح پوشش برف را داشته است. به طور کلی روند تغییرات پوشش برف در این منطقه روند افزایشی را نشان می دهد. . نتایج آزمون من کندال روند تغییرات سالانه با استفاده از P-value نشان می دهد. که در بهار با P-value 0.77 در تابستان با P-value -0.55 و در خزان P-value 2.19 و در زمستان P-value 7.26 بدست امده که نشان دهنده تغییرات در طول یکسال میباشد.
