Afghan Diaspora Giving Circle
Afghan professionals living in Europe are in a position to make a direct, material difference to Unisfere’s programs — not through large one-off gifts, but through small, regular contributions that together create a reliable funding stream. The Afghan Diaspora Giving Circle is a structured initiative to make that possible.
Members commit to a modest monthly contribution — starting from €10 — which goes directly to funding fellowship stipends, internet access for fellows, and program operational costs. In return, members receive transparent reporting on how their contributions are used and are invited to Unisfere events as recognised supporters.
Why a Giving Circle
Most fundraising approaches ask diaspora members to donate and disappear. A giving circle creates belonging and accountability: members know each other, receive regular updates, and see their collective impact tracked and reported. It positions diaspora members as active investors in Afghan development, not passive donors.
For Unisfere, the giving circle creates a predictable, recurring income stream that reduces dependence on competitive grant cycles and allows better program planning.

Legal and Financial Notes
Contributions are processed through Unisfere’s registered Dutch foundation account. Receipts are issued for all contributions. Tax deductibility depends on ANBI status — this will be updated once Unisfere’s ANBI application is confirmed. Members will be informed of any change in status.
