Scholarship Navigation

Scholarship & Higher Education Navigation

Thousands of Afghan students want to pursue higher education abroad. Very few know how to find legitimate scholarships, assess their eligibility, navigate application processes designed for different systems, or avoid predatory agents who charge fees for worthless guidance.

Unisfere offers a practical guidance program to help young Afghans identify genuine international scholarship opportunities, understand what is required to compete for them, and prepare stronger applications.

What Unisfere Can Offer

Unisfere’s board and mentor network includes individuals who have personally navigated the scholarship process — from Afghanistan to universities in Europe, North America, and Asia. This lived experience, combined with professional knowledge of international academic systems, is the program’s core asset.

This is not a placement service. Unisfere does not guarantee admissions or scholarships and does not charge fees. It provides information, guidance, and honest assessment.

Program Components

Scholarship Information Sessions

  • Regular online sessions covering major international scholarship programs open to Afghan students
  • Covering: eligibility criteria, application timelines, required documents, realistic competitiveness
  • Sessions recorded and archived on unisfere.com for asynchronous access

Application Support

  • Guidance on writing a personal statement and research proposal
  • Feedback on draft applications from Unisfere mentors and volunteers
